Colophon is a web trade almanac — a classified directory of active web concerns arranged by trade section, in the tradition of the great printed trade gazettes. It currently records 830 listings across 22 sections.

Yes. Colophon charges nothing for a listing. Submit your trading name and web address via the Add a Site form and, once reviewed, your concern will appear in the appropriate section.

The almanac divides its listings into 22 trade sections — from Gaming Establishments to Legal Chambers to Computing Systems. Each site is placed in the section that best fits its primary trade.

Use the Add a Site form linked from the navigation. Provide your trading name, web address, and the section you believe best suits your concern. The editorial office reviews each submission before approving it.

Review is typically completed within a few working days. Submissions that pass the basic check — an active and reachable web presence — are approved and appear in the listing shortly after.

You may indicate a preferred section at submission, but the almanac places each concern in the section appropriate to its primary trade. The editorial office makes the final determination.

The almanac verifies web presence at the time of submission. Listings found to be inactive after the fact are removed on a rolling basis. If you find a stale listing, please report it via the submission page.

Colophon is published by an independent editorial office as a plain-spoken reference resource for the web. It does not accept payment for placement and has no commercial relationship with any listed concern.
